The Kakata Magisterial Court has ordered the arrest of three employees of the LoneStar Communications Corporation on the charge of criminal mischief and criminal conspiracy.
According to our Margibi Correspondent, the three employees were ordered arrested for their alleged involvement in the burning of a vehicle owned by the ALPHACO International Incorporated, a local car rental company in Monrovia.
Those ordered arrested are defendants Robert J. Pettiquoi, QuoiwueKollie and Co- defendant Kulubo Norris Dumoe.
According to the Writ of Arrest dated October 13, 2015, on May 14, 2015, at 7:30 P.M., defendants Robert J. Pettiquoi and QuoiwueKollie being highly criminal minded with the intend to commit crime against the state, put gas on private prosecutor, Alpha Jalloh’s White Nissan Patrol Jeep marked BC- 7694 and burn it without any legal color of right, justification or whatsoever.
The writ further said that the value of the said vehicle which value is put at over US$60,000 was a Lonestar Communications Corporation rented vehicle and was conveying scratch cards for said company on the night of the incident.
The writ also stated that on the same Co- defendant Kulubo Norris- Dumoe connived with defendants Robert J. Pettiquoi and QuoiwueKollie by telling them to burn the jeep to assistance because eight cartoons did not contain scratch cards as was said but rather empty papers stuffed in the cartoons.
Defendants Robert J. Pettiquoi and QuoiwueKollie went ahead and set the jeep ablaze as they were told by co- defendant Klubo Norris- Dumoe on the night of May 14, 2015 in the Gborflelela Community in Kakata along the KakataGbarnga highway.
The writ said the defendants Robert J. Pettiquoi, QuoiwueKollie and co- defendant Klubo Norris – Dumoe violated chapter 15, 10, section 15.5, 10.4 of the New Penal Code of Liberia, hence that being contrary to the form, force, statue law of this Republic, in such cases made and proved against the peace and dignity of the Republic, they were charged with the crime of criminal mischief and criminal conspiracy.
It can be recalled that on the May 14, 2015 of this, a LoneStar Communication rented vehicle owned by a local car rental company, ALPHACO International, Incorporated was carrying scratch cards from Gbarnga to Monrovia when the incident took place near Kakata.
When the Crime Services Division(CSD) of the Liberia National Police(LNP) conducted a preliminary investigation into the matter, defendants Robert J. Pettiquoi, QuoiwueKollie and co- defendant Klubo Norris Dumoe admitted to putting eight cartoons stuffed with empty papers to fake the management under the pretense of having over US$4000.00 worth of scratch cards on board the vehicle.
However, during the CSD preliminary investigation, it was discovered that the eight cartoons did not contained the above mentioned amount as was stated by the defendants.
Meanwhile, the Co-defendant Klubo Norris- Dumoe and defendants Robert J. Pettiquoi and QuoiwueKollie have been detained at the Kakata Central Prison pending further court trial.
