The Press Union of Liberia (PUL) over the weekend edged the Liberia National Police 1-0 to win a unique tournament in observance of the Union’s 51st Anniversary celebration.
Molley Trojan Kerzulu of FABRIC FM made sure the Pen Pushers celebrate in grand style when he rattled the net from the penalty spot after D. Webster Cassell was upended.
Trojan completed a hat-track after earlier scoring a brace for Electronics against Print in a 3-1 win in the first encounter.
PUL smartly used two teams in the tournament (Electronics and Print) withElectronics advancing to the final to play Police who beat Central Bank of Liberia 2-1 in the day’s first battle.
The Pen Pushers girls did not feature and reports gathered indicated that CBL girls, who should have played PUL girls, escaped the force from the likes of Antoinette Sandolo, TeteGebro, Abigail Duoh, SaywharGbaa, Gloria Tamba and Precious Gaye.
In the final, PUL used the best collection of players to achieve the feat, while Julius Konton collecting won another master card performance.
