Jabateh, Gizzie, Others Arrive For Lone Star

Five players have arrived in Monrovia for the crucial 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Tunisia on September 5, 2015 at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium (ATS) in Monrovia.

Those in town are Israel-based versatile Liberian player, Gizzie ‘Tucan’ Dorbor, who plies his trade with HapoelAfula, SekouJabatehOliseh of Qatari club Al-Gharafa, Teah Dennis of Al-Ahli in Jordan, Sam Johnson of Swedish topflight outfit, Djurgårdens IF and the fantastic lad, Murphy Oscar Dolley, who plays for Monrovia Club Breweries in the Liberia Football Association (LFA) national league, but based in Ghana where he had gone to obtain visa to travel to a European country to seek greener pasture.

The rest of the foreign based players will be in town today. Those expected are the big striker, Francis ‘Grandpa’ Forkey Doe of NS Matrix in the Malaysian Premier League, Patrick Gehardt of Sarawak FA in Malaysia, William Jebor of SD Ponferradina in Spain, DirkirGlay of GorMahia in the Kenyan Premier League and Solomon Grimes of Nea Salamis Famagusta in Cyprus.

The match is the second of the qualifier for the red, white and blue outfit after going down to the Sparrow Hawks of Togo in the first encounter last June.

Meanwhile, Liberia’s Lone Star coach, James SalinsaDebbah has called 26 players for the crucial match against Tunisia this Saturday at the ATS.

The biggest news is that the coach has refused to include informed Liberian striker, Patrick ‘Ronaldinho’ Wleh in the squad.

The burly built striker, who plies his trade with Malaysian Premier League outfit, PKNS, was on fire for his club in that part of the world.
