Two Suspected Armed Robbers Booked In Nimba

Report emanating from Nimba County says two notorious armed robbers have been arrested in the town of Zuluyee in Garr Clan.

The robbers, according to our correspondent in the county were arrested in Zuluyee Town, in Garr Clan on August 19, 2015 by residents of the Town.The Liberia National Police informed this paper that the two suspects were badly flogged by angry mob before reporting the case to the police station in Ganta.

Police in Nimba County named the suspects as Patrick Wilson, 27, a Liberian and Titus Ezeugola, 36, a Nigerian national residing in Liberia. Information from the police in Nimba disclosed that the two suspects according to investigation were caught with two kitchen knives and a single barrel gun.

The police further disclosed that one of the suspects who had the single barrel gun fled the scene with the gun while the two knives are said to be in the possession of the Liberia National Police in Ganta City.

The two robbers who were badly beaten by the angry mob, were later taken tot the Ganta United Methodist Hospital for medical treatment under the vigilant eyes of the Police.

During our reporter’s visit at the Methodist Hospital in Ganta, the two suspected robbers were placed in a private ward in cuffs and guided by the police while journalists were banned from speaking to them on ground that the case is very sensitive.

When our correspondent contacted the Police station in Ganta, he was informed that investigation was ongoing while the two suspects remain behind bar pending further investigation.
