The draw for the semi-final of the Liberia Football Association took place yesterday at the Headquarters of the local football house on Benson Street with FC Fassell and youthful Barrack Young Caroller II (BYC II) engaging each other in the semi-final, while Monrovia Club Breweries has taken a bye straight to the final.
The semi-final match involving FC Fassell and BYC II will take place this Friday, August 21, while the winner battles Monrovia Club Breweries Sunday, August 23, 2015 at the famous Antoinette Tubman Stadium (ATS) in Central Monrovia.
FC Fassell clinched a semi-final spot after a 1-0 win over rival LISCR FC last Saturday at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium (ATS).
James Walatee, probably FC Fassell player of the season after a virtuoso performance, scored from the penalty spot in the 75th minute when striker Sam Kollie was upended.
Monrovia Club Breweries joined Fassell on Sunday, August 16, 2015 after edging Jubilee FC in penalty after regular time ended 0-0 at the ATS.
BYC II revenged well for their senior team against Watanga FC when the youthful ‘Go Blue’ outfit secured a 4-2 penalty shootout win over the Dee Maxwell Kemayah’s boys at the ATS last Sunday.
