The Chairperson for Publicity on Fund Raising Committee, Mr. John Sheriff said the Faith Healing Temple of Jesus Christ Church needs over US$100,000 to expand its structure because the Church membership is growing.
Speaking to journalists over the weekend, Mr. Sheriff disclosed that the Faith Healing Temple of Jesus Christ Church will hold a major musical concert on August 24, 2015 and President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, Vice President Joseph N. Boakai and others are expected to grace the occasion.
Mr. Sheriff said the restructuring of the church is very essential because the congregation is growing in membership, so the members of the church have deemed it necessary to expand the building.
The Faith Healing Temple of Jesus Christ is one of Liberia’s oldest prophetic churches located on the Bushrod Island. It was founded on November 14, 1971 by the late Prophetess Wilhelmina Dukuly, commonly known as Mother Dukuly.
The Church was persecuted by the late President Samuel K. Doe regime while Mother Dukuly is on record for prophesying about the coup of 1980 and the Liberian Civil War.
