The Chinese Embassy accredited near the Liberian capital, Monrovia has announced the arrival of a high powered Chinese delegation in the country. According to the Embassy, an eight-man Chinese delegation headed by Mr. Wang Yi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China will visit Liberia from August 8 to 9.
The visit of the Chinese delegation according to the statement is intended to further strengthen Sino-Liberia relationship and exchange views on international and regional issues of mutual interests.
The statement also indicated that the delegation will arrive by a chartered plane in the late afternoon of August 8, 2015 and depart the country on August 9, 2015.
The eight-man delegation includes, Mr. Wang Yi, Minister of Foreign Affairs and head of delegation; Amb. Lin Songtian, Director-General, the Department of African Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Mr. Hongleh, Deputy Director-General, the Information Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Others are Mr. Liu Tao, Director, the Department of African Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Mr. Wang Jie, Director, the Protocol Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Mr. Ing, Deputy Director, the Department of Translation and Interpretation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Mr. Anbin, Director, the Department of African Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
