Barrack Young Controller moved on top of Group A over the weekend with straight two wins last week.
The defending champions of the Liberia Football Association (LFA) secured a 2-0 win over group A point donor and dumped Liberia’s darling football club, Invincible Eleven (IE) 3-0 on Liberia’s Independence to move top of group A toppling undefeated Watanga FC with three goals difference.
Watanga secured four points last week to stay undefeated in the current campaign.
Dee Maxwell Kemeyah’s boys drew with Nimba United 1-1 and came from a goal down and thrashed the Church boys, Jubilee FC 3-0 to keep their championship dream on course.
Both Watanga FC and BYC have 13 points each with three matches remaining to close the season.
In Group B, it seems the battle is gradually getting over with Mustapha Raji’s Boys at the verge of clinching the championship.
Many keen followers of the LFA league turned out at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium (ATS) to watch what many thought would have seen FC Fassell close the gap on league leader, but LISCR came from a goal down to extend the league to seven points.
