Two young ladies, Veronica S. Doegmah and Zoe Togba and others over the weekend became proud winners of NOVAFONE four-year scholarship program with Straz Institute of Technology.
NOVAFONE offered the scholarship to the lucky winners as its way of sharing during Liberia’s 168th Independence Celebration.
The ladies won the scholarship in a raffle draw held at NOVAFONE’s head office in Congo Town over the weekend.
“I had always dreamed of attending Starz because I want to be an IT specialist. I went there but when I saw their fees, I had to step back… I don’t know how to be grateful to NOVAFONE for making this dream a reality,” Zoe, a resident of Old Road, who couldn’t hold back her smiles, told reporters.
According to her she least thought of winning any draw that could offer her such great opportunity.
Veronica S. Deogmah, a resident of New Georgia Estate, said she was stunned when she received the call from NOVAFONE informing her that she had emerged as a proud winner of a four-year scholarship from NOVAFONE to study at Starz Institute.
“For me, I like browsing a lot and NOVAFONE internet is the best so I always use NOVAFONE. I didn’t know that they were giving out scholarships. I am so lucky. I want to say a very big thank you to NOVAFONE for the offer,” she said.
Veronica and Zoe are the fourth winners of NOVAFONE’s full scholarship for studies at Starz institute.
Besides the scholarships, NOVAFONE also gave away Tiger generators, rain boots, and Nokia Lumia phones to several winners who had been subscribing to NOVAFONE’s products and services.
Public Relations Officer of NOVAFONE, Mr. ReindorfHaligah speaking at the draw ceremony said the giveaway was NOVAFONE’s way of appreciating its customers and joining with them in the celebration of Liberia’s Independence celebration.
He said the company is bent on transforming telecommunications in Liberia by offering the best and most affordable services.
