The Ministry of Public Works last week retired 82 employees in Monrovia, and at the retirement program,the Minister of Public Works, Gyude Moore said those employees deserve to be honored and retired because they had worked diligently over the past years.
Minister Moore added that those retirees have made the Ministry of Public Works very proud because they had rendered many services to the Ministry.
“On behalf of President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, I would like to thank you for the great efforts and services you provided over the past years and we will always miss you for your hard work,”Minister Moore expressed happiness.
Also speaking at the program, the Deputy Director General for Human Resource Management or Policy,Civil Service Agency,Madam Wanneh C.Reeves lauded the retirees for their commitment and achievements in the Ministry of Public Works.
“Let me tell you that retirement is a reflection,celebration of your years you have served the Government of Liberia (GOL) through career in Civil Service Agency and I hope you will be rewarded with good health and long life,”Madam Reeves wished the retirees.
Madam Reeves said that the Government of Liberia (GOL) has designed hand-shake package and pension for the retirees.
Speaking on behalf of the retirees, Varney Johnson thanked the Ministry of Public Works to have allowed them serve the Liberian people over the years and advised his fellow retirees that retirement is not the end but that they must continue their visionary sojourns.
