PSU Officers Render “Coal Burners” Homeless In Margibi County

It was seen as a drama, when PSU officers of the Liberia National Police were on June 29, 2015 at about 3:00 p.m. damaging the homes and properties of “coal burners” in Division 27, Firestone, Margibi County.

Speaking to this paper the victims said the management of firestone asked them to vacate the burning site in two weeks, something which the coal burners termed as total mockery.

Also speaking the advisor to the coal burners in Division 27, Mr. Moses Tamba expressed dissatisfaction over the way the Police Support Unit (PSU) treated the coal burners; noting that the PSU should be protecting lives and properties and not to frustrate its citizens.

Mr. Tamba added that the coal burners and the Management of Firestone had an agreement, something that allowed them to burn coal on the site.

Meanwhile the coal burners are calling on the Government of Liberia, well meaning Liberians and the Representative of District #3 of Margibi County to come to their aid, because they are now homeless by the Management of Firestone.
