Associate Justice Advises Students

An Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of Liberia, Justice KabineJa’neh has advised students to be disciplined and take their education seriously.

Speaking to thousands of students at the Better Future Initiative (BFI) confab in St. Paul Bridge over the weekend, Justice Ja’neh told the students to be very respectful and listen to their teachers to enable them learn good things in the classroom stressing that education is the key to success.

“If you want to be a lawyer, businessman, economist, sociologist, psychologist, or doctor, you have to work very hard and be disciplined to enable you to become successful in life,” Justice Ja’neh admonished students.

Justice Ja’neh said,” the only way you can be like others, is to invest in yourselves, respect your teachers and study your lessons because education plays key role in a country.”

Justice Ja’neh said he noticed that young people do not want to sit and read and when given something to read, it becomes a problem.

“Let me tell you that every day of my time, I used two hours to read some materials and I urge you to take two hours daily and read some materials because it will enable you to learn new things and know about great people in the world ,” Justice Ja’neh encouraged the students.

Justice Ja’neh encouraged students to read many books and study their lessons at night to enable them make a successful pass.

He stressed that students must also serve as volunteers in their communities to teach others and that they must do it willingly.

Also speaking at the confab, the National Coordinator of Better Future Initiative (BFI) Mr. Amos NyanwlehTubor Jr. lauded Justice Ja’neh for the encouragement given to the students.

Mr. Tubor told journalists that the Better Future Initiative was established in 2008 with the aim of providing basic enlightenment, Educational and information for young people and subsequently encourage the youths to engage in Youth and Student Community Engagement Project (YASCEP).

According to him, the Better Future Initiative thematic focuses on Monitoring, Drugs Abuse, Teen Age Pregnancy, Networking, Honesty, Career Counseling, Nationalism, Handling Negative Peer Pressure, volunteerism, and Good Manner.

Better Future Initiative is a registered non-profit making organization established to create opportunities for young Liberians. The aims and objectives of Better Future Initiative are to teach young Liberians about their social, ethical, fundamental and civil roles.
