France Promises Strong Bilateral Ties With Liberia
France has emphasized its resolve through its Embassy near Monrovia of its commitment aimed at strengthening the existing bilateral relations and partnership between the two countries in the years ahead with focus on the economy as Liberia transitioned to post-Ebola.
At an elaborate reception marking the inauguration of the post-war France Embassy held over the weekend in Congo Town, the France Ambassador to Liberia, Joel Godeau, stressed that the relocation of the France Embassy has given him the opportunity to celebrate the friendly bilateral relations between France and Liberia.
He pointed out that the installation of the Embassy and residence within a unique location and renovated premises with high level standards demonstrate the desire of the Republic of France to improve the image of its representation in Liberia.
Attending the occasion were high representatives of the Government of Liberia and Madam Deborah Marlac, Ambassador of the United States of America (USA), Zhang Yue, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China, as well as Beng’ Yela Augustine Gang, Ambassador of the Republic of Cameroon accredited to Liberia.
Also in attendance were Colonel Clement, Defense Attache, and Colonel Brunaud who he disclosed that came from Abidjan, Cote d’ Ivoire to grace the inaugural reception among others.
