Report emanating from the northern county of Nimba says the long-awaited Sanniquellie Road Project is expected to begin shortly.
The Resident Engineer of CSC sad that the company that is expected to pave the road in Nimba County from Ganta to Yekepa will shortly get underway.
Resident Engineer, G. Lahaison Waritay, told the Inquirer over the weekend in Ganta that the company is now recruiting workers and road Engineers to work along with the company. He disclosed that the company is now constructing a camp before starting the pavement of the road.
The Resident Engineer also added that the company will also construct 12 housing units for the staff of the company and that after three years the company will turn the housing units over to the Government of Liberia.
Mr. Waritay further disclosed that the pavement of the Sanniquellie Highway will be done by the CSC Construction Company since the earth moving equipment of CSC have already arrived in the country.
Early last month, the Ministry of Public Works paid several citizens in Ganta for their properties that will be affected by the demolition exercise that is expected to begin soon to make way for the construction of the road.
