LNBA To Hold Elections May… Wants Speedy Investigation In Allison’s Death

The Liberian National Bar Association, the LNBA will this year May hold elections to elect its new corps of officers.
Making assertion over the weekend at the 1st Quarterly Assembly of the LNBA in Monrovia, Cllr. Theophilus C. Gould who is the President of the LNBA told his colleagues that the Bar was now ready for elections this year.
According to Cllr. Gould who is now the outgoing LNBA President, this year’s election is expected to be one of special crucial elections due to the limited time and preparation to be made. He further stated that the Elections should have been held last year November 2014 in Buchanan, Grand Bassa County, but couldn’t due to the outbreak of the deadly Ebola virus in the country at the time.
He said that since the outbreak of the vicious Ebola virus, none of its members were victims. He named former Chief Justice Johnnie N. Lewis, Attorney Susannah Stubberfield, Amos Kollie, and KerzousKokeh who were laid to rest, with the exception of Attorney Michael Allison who has not been laid to rest.
The LNBA in its resolution adopted March 13, 2015, is calling on the speedy investigation of Michael Allison to ensure transparency and settle the minds of the several persons who are yet to see justice takes its course in the investigation.
Cllr. Gould has meanwhile lauded the WHO for its contribution to the LNBA during the year under review.
He stated that despite the Ebola epidemic in the country, the WHO provided Tetra Tech for the upkeep of the LNBA. He named Seagate Expansion Extended Drive, extension cord (orange), table lamp and a Nissan Hard Body pickup which has been named LNBA 1 and to be used for pro-bono purposes at the LNBA.
Other items received by the LNBA from the UNDP included Microsoft Office Professional 2010, Tool Kit for vehicle, 4 sets of Revolving Office chairs (Leather Low Back), Conference Table (Small round), Office Desk with 3 sets of Drawers-72CMx36CM).
Cllr. Gould further stated that other items donated by the UNDP included three Revolving Office Chairs (Leather High Back), three sets of Lianxin Power Source Projectors and three sets of Mercury Surge Projector plus a filing Cabinet Four Drawers.
