A man believed to be in his 40s has been found guilty of murder and arson by the Eighth Judiciary Circuit Court in Sanniquellie, Nimba County.

Arthur Dahn early last year set a house ablazed in the Border Town of Luoguatuo in Gbelay –Geh District Nimba County an action which led to the death of four persons. Arthur fled and was wanted by the security, but was then arrested by the Liberia National Police (LNP) in February 2015 and charged with arson and murder and was later sent to court for a proper adjudication of the case.

Last week, the Eighth Judiciary Court after hearing the case for weeks came down with a verdict for defendant Arthur Dahn to die by hanging.

During the trial the state was represented by Nimba County Attorney, Hector Quoiguah while the defendant Arthur Dahn was represented by Cllr. MenwasehPayebayee and Cllr. Robertson Mehn.

The verdict brought tears in the eyes of Arthur Dahn who pleaded for mercy on ground that he was fooled by the devil.
