The 87th National Convention of the Liberia West African Council,35th District of the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World (PAW), gets underway on Feb.21 in the port city of Buchanan, Grand Bassa County.
According to the presiding Bishop of the PAW, Rev Dr. Leo M. Simpson, the convention under the theme;”What is our mission”, with Matthew 28:18-20, as text, will bring together delegates from member churches of the Assemblies in Liberia.
Bishop Simpson also said previous conventions had 12 churches in attendance noting that this time, the 87th convention is expected to bring together more than 20 churches.
He disclosed that despite a lot of challenges faced by the church previously, there has been immense improvement over the years, expressing excitement about the new trend the church was taking.
The Liberian cleric then lauded members of the church for their level of cooperation in making sure that the church moves forward saying that the 87th National convention would create a new dynamism amongst the congregation of the church.
