As part of its corporate social responsibility, the Banana Lodge Bar and Restaurant last week Thursday demonstrated its commitment by donating US$5,000 worth of educational materials to 300 students in Foster Town, on Robertsfield Highway.
Making the presentation to the students in Foster Town, the Human Resource Manager of Banana Lodge Bar and Restaurant, Mr.J.WolobahSipor, said the donation was part of his company’s corporate social responsibility and also to help the students get back to school and continue with their learning process.
Mr. Sipor told the students to take their learning seriously because education is the key to success saying, “If you are educated, you will make a difference in the society; therefore I urge all of you to be serious with your education which will also help you live a better life.”
Mr.Sipor added that the Banana Lodge Bar and Restaurant will always seek the interest of students and congratulated parents for the significant impact they are making in the country by supporting their children in school, something he described as commendable.
Mr.Sipor also encouraged the parents to continue supporting their children in school and that they must not give up because education builds a strong nation and a democratic society.
One of the students who benefited from the donation congratulated Banana Lodge Bar and Restaurant for giving them the educational materials and that the donation will be used for the intended purpose.
