The Ministry of Education has suspended with immediate effect the Principal of the LangoLippaye High School in Kakata, Margibi County for time-indefinite.   The LangoLippaye High school, which is located in the center of Kakata City, is one of the most populous public schools in Margibi County.

Making the disclosure of the principal’s suspension in kakata last Friday, the Director of Communication at the Ministry of Education, Mr. MaxinBlaten, said the stance was taken because Mr. Robert Zayzay, principal of the LangoLippaye High School in Kakata has been collecting unapproved MOE’s registration fees from students during the current registration exercise.

He stressed that the Government of Liberia should remain committed to providing Free and Compulsory Primary Education to the people of Liberia and will not accept any act by Public School Administrators that try to deny students from freely registering for this academic year.

Mr. Blaten said, some of the funds that were collected by the Principal of the LangoLippaye High School are; PTA Fee, ID-Card fee, Insurance fee among others.

He added that the Ministry of Education has named Mr. LoaseaDomamanKargou as the new Acting Principal of LangoLippaye High School and requested the suspended principal, Mr. Zayzay, to refund the unapproved fees collected from students during the ongoing registration exercise.
