Executive Mansion Press Corps Get New Leadership

The Executive Mansion Press Corp has elected a new corps of officers to steer the affairs of the organization.

Over the weekend, the rejuvenated Executive Mansion Press Corps elected four of its long-serving members to serve as leaders of the organization. Those elected include, Mr. Samukai Dukuly of Power FM/TV; Chairman, Mr. Morrison O.G. Sayon, Associate Editor of The INQUIRER; Vice Chairman Mr. William Q. Harmon of Daily Observer and Ms. Charlesetta Miller of the Liberia Broadcasting System (LBS), Treasurer.

The leadership will steer the affairs of the organization for the next two years. The Executive Mansion Press Corps is organized to foster a smooth relationship between the office of the Presidential Press Secretary and independent correspondents assigned at the Executive Mansion by their respective institutions.

In his acceptance remarks, the newly inducted President of EXMANCORP, Samukai said he will strive to strengthen the relationship between the office of the Press Secretary and reporters assigned at the Mansion.

Mr. Samukai assured that the organization will not be antagonistic to the Executive Mansion or any office at the Ministry of State & Presidential Affairs and that the leadership of EXMANCORP is interested in a better relationship with the Press Secretary’s office adding that the issue of ethics will not be compromised.

At the same time, Mr. Samukai assured reporters assigned at the Executive Mansion that the leadership will seek their interest in all aspects and added that any opportunity that will be available will benefit all members of the organization.
