Chief Justice Sets Up Committee Of Experts
Consistent with Article IX, Section 3 of the Act creating the Independent National Commission on Human Rights (INCHR), the Chief Justice of the Republic of Liberia, on November 24, 2014 constituted an independent committee of experts from the civil society for the purpose of vetting qualified Liberians to fill a vacancy created in the INCHR by one of the commissioners who has requested sabbatical leave.
Those appointed to serve on the Independent Committee of Experts are Mr. James M. Yarsiah, Chairman; Ms. RoselineToweh, Co-Chairman and Mr. Roosevelt Woods, Secretary. Other members are Mr. Thompson Adebayor, Mr. Varney Jersey, Ms. FindaSalay and Atty. Jura A. Lynch.
Meanwhile, the Chief Justice Francis SayeKorkpor has called on all and sundry are requested to give members of the Independent Committee of Experts their fullest cooperation.
