Pervocate Provides Knowledge To Diabetes Management…Offers Testing Kits To Patient

As regards to the prevalent rate of people suffering from diabetes in Liberia, the Management of Pervocate Holding Corporation has continued to carryout awareness aimed at providing the relevant knowledge to diabetic in the country relative to the management of the disease at its offices on Front Street opposite water and Sewer Corporation during week end.

Agnes T. Johnson, Administrative Manager of the Corporation disclosed that most people are diabetic but they lack the knowledge about the symptoms as well as its management.

In view of that, she indicated that most deaths that occurred in Liberia were associated with high sugar level. The Administrative Manager however admonished everybody whether diabetic or not to be conscious of the diabetes status by doing their test.

According to her, Pervocate has come to Liberia so as to help the people by providing knowledge about the disease and to also make the testing equipment accessible at a cost of USD$ 50.00 (Fifty United States dollars) so that every house hold can afford.

She however pointed out that diabetes management requires medication, life style changes and others are dieting, exercise, sugar intake and juices consumption etc.

She continued that medication and life style changes are key to diabetes management which she said enable us to manage the level of sugar in the body.

Speaking further, the Manager of the Corporation then informed the patients that the symptoms of diabetes are frequent urination, dry skin as well as blur vision, including kidney dye-function and others are wounds that cannot be cured, cardio vascular disease and impotency.
