Henri Oliver Harmon Appointed Honorary Consul Of The Republic Of Indonesia
Honorary Consul, Henri Oliver Harmon, has received his letter of Exequatur from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Indonesia in Monrovia Liberia.
As Honorary Consul, Mr. Harmon will strengthen bilateral relations in all areas of cooperation, particularly in areas of trade and socio-cultural relationship with both governments.
Mr. Harmon, who presently holds the position as Vice President of Government Affairs at Golden Veroleum Liberia (GVL), was recently appointed a member of the Multi-Stakeholders Steering Group (MSG) of the Liberia Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (LETTI) representing the Agricultural Sector, by the President of the Republic of Liberia, Madam Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf.
Honorary Consul, Harmon, is an accomplished agriculturist, manager and a successful businessman with at least three decades of experience, at local and international level.
He obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture from the University of Liberia in 1976 and later worked for the Liberia Produce Marketing Corporation, with responsibility of conducting soil analysis around the country.
He also worked with Liberia Coffee and Cocoa Corporation and in 1980, with the Firestone Rubber Company as a liaison between local farmers and the company providing loans and technical supports.
Henri is also a successful entrepreneur who ran his own marketing and insurance company for 23 years.
