Representative Abraham V. Corneh of district 14 of Montserrado County has given L$ 200,000.00 to the Association of Private Schools Teachers of District 14 as his own way of identifying with some of those out of job due to the Ebola crisis. In an interview with this paper yesterday, the Association’s Public Relation Officer, Anthony V. Kamara, said more than one hundred private school teachers benefited from the lawmaker’s kind gesture.
Mr. Kamara added that the lawmaker’s humanitarian gesture has assisted several teachers who have been out of job due to the Ebola crisis that the country is now faced with as private school teachers are currently non-functional.
He said, “L$200,000.00 was given to the association by our lawmaker to help put food in our various homes. Each teacher benefited about L$ 2000.00.”
Mr. Kamara urged leaders of the district to stop the politics and hold together to help curtail the virus. He appreciated Rep. Corneh for taking such step by assisting teachers in lieu of the prevailing deadly Ebola virus.
