“Ebola Is A Plague”…Says Social Worker

By Pinket Scott (Intern UMU)

A social worker and educator, Bendu Martha Yates, says Liberians need to be prayerful in order to win the fight against Ebola asserting that the virus is a plague.

Speaking to this paper yesterday, Madam Yates called on all Liberians to take the fight against the deadly Ebola virus seriously noting that it is God who has the power to save the country from what she described as a testing period.

According to Madam Yates, God is aware of the virus which has now become the country’s number one enemy adding, “It can be recorded that a Woman of God announced long ago before the outbreak that the people of Liberia needed to repent because God is angry with Liberians.”

Madam Yates encouraged all Liberians to take all preventive measures as prescribed by the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare and that everyone should try to eat nutritional food to keep their bodies healthy and strong to fight against the deadly Ebola virus.
