The Management of NOVAFONE over the weekend donated a consignment of assorted items to the John F. Medical Center Administration.
Speaking at the donation ceremony, the CEO of NOVAFONE, Bechir Khoury, said they are identifying with the hospital because they are at the frontline fighting the prevailing deadly disease in the country and promised his company’s furtive participation in the fight against the virus.
He said the donation is the first batch of materials to be presented to the medical center but that other donations will be made to fight the Ebola virus and protect the health workers.
Receiving the items, Dr. Winnie Scott McDonald thanked the NOVAFONE family and said the hospital is in need of the items. She said that health workers will ensure that the health system in the country functions to respond to the needs of Ebola and non-Ebola patients.
She said there are plans to extend temporary setup units that will cater to people coming to the hospital and sending them to the right places for treatment.
Items donated included toilet tissues, cell phones, rain gears, bathing soaps, Rexoguard antiseptic disinfectants and consignment of alcohol among others.
