The Greater Monrovia Lions Club over the weekend donated a freezer to the Hebron Children Home for the preservation of food for children at the center. The Greater Monrovia Lions Club through its President, Eva Bailay Reed, donated the freezer to the group that hosts several less fortunate children. She said the Lions’ Club as a charitable organization has seen the need to assist the Hebron Children Home and was pleased to associate with the organization.
Madam Eva Bailay Reed said further that The Greater Monrovia Lions’ Club is interested in assisting less fortunate persons including the blind and children in ensuring that they also live decent lives as others. Reed said the GMLC will always be there to assist the underprivileged as a charitable organization.
Receiving the freezer on behalf of her organization, the Founder and Executive Director of Hebron Children Home, Madam Sheila Reed lauded the Greater Monrovia Lions’ Club for the kind gesture and promised that the freezer will be used to preserve food and other items for their children at the children home.
Madam Reed said the gesture came at the appropriate time when things have become very hard when the nation is in a state of national crisis. She said presently the children home is faced with electricity problem.
Madam Reed said Hebron Children Home is in dire need of food including rice, oil and maggie cube adding that three bags of rice are used monthly at the Children Home.
