This paper has reliably learn that since the major outbreak of the deadly Ebola virus in Margibi County, the whereabouts of the County Health Officer (CHO), Hawah Kromah is unknown.
The major Ebola outbreak occurred on Wednesday, August 12, 2014, claiming the lives of health workers of the C.H. Rennie Hospital.
It was reported that 12 nurses were suspected with the virus and of that number; three were being confirmed of contracting the virus with two pronounced dead by the Director of Community Health Services in Margibi, Joseph J. Kohene.
The remaining nurses were taken to the ELWA National Isolation Center but it has been reported that additional three have died from the virus at the center.
This paper has also gathered that the Margibi CHO, Dr. Hawah Kromah was not on the scene when the outbreak started at the Hospital thereby creating doubt among Margibians.
According to information, during the outbreak, the CHO was in Montserrado County but there has not been any reason given for her leaving her duty in the county.
There have also been reports of Ebola related death cases in some communities in the county especially the Benda Community, Vai Town, Weala and Duazon communities respectively.
