“Tear, Tear” County Flags At The Capitol

The Legislative Branch of Government is one that encompasses representatives of all of the political sub-divisions (counties) of the country.

As a symbol or identity for each county, the flag of the various counties are flown on the premises of the Capitol Building.

But in recent time, especially yesterday where there was a protest action, the condition of the flag drew the attention of protesters and others. Nearly all of the counties’ flags are torn and discolored.

Because of the “tear, tear” condition of the flags, it is defacing some aspects of the scenery of the compound. Many are hoping that the lawmakers would make note of such an embarrassing situation as the flags represent the counties they represent.
