Vai Town-Freeport Road Becoming Impassable
The route from Vai Town to the Freeport area is now becoming impassable owing to the number of potholes on the road. Citizens using that route daily told this paper that because of the deplorable condition of the road, especially whenever it rains, they are charged exorbitant fares to get to their various destinations.
The residents and drivers are therefore appealing to the Ministry of Public Works to make some interventions to improve the condition of the route to avoid the difficulties encountered in using that route.
The potholes, as seen above, are making the route impassable, as many vehicles are now using alternative routes that are longer, like that from the Sinkor Boulevard to Congo Town and Paynesville, and then to the Somalia Drive and Duala.
