Gov’t Launches New Traditional Marriage Certificates

The Ministry of Internal Affairs has launched its new security featuring traditional marriage & divorce certificates to assist in the reduction of fraud.

The MIA Deputy Minister for Administration, Varney A. Sirleaf, made the statement in Monrovia at the official launching of the new security featured traditional marriage and divorce certificates.

According to Minister Sirleaf at that time, anybody could have used another person’s certificates to accomplish their aim because it was not up to standard.

He added that the new security featured certificates the ministry has launched will assist to reduce some frauds the ministry has been faced with; he also said that there will be teams in those rural areas to sensitize people about the newly launched certificates.

Minister Sirleaf mentioned that at first minors were getting married so he included birth certificates and he said for the ministry to launch its first technology certificate with hidden features show some signs that they are moving forward.

The minister said, “There will be no delay in getting the new security features certificates, “he concluded.
