PCC Takes Great Step—Provides Free Medical Care For Inhabitants

The Management of Paynesville City Corporation (PCC) has demonstrated its commitment and provided free medical care to some inhabitants residing in the Paynesville Community.
Acting City Mayor of Paynesville City Corporation Madam Cyvette Gibson disclosed that health care program was designed to help citizens get equal access to proper and affordable treatment.
In an exclusive interview with this paper,Madam Gibson explained that the Management of Paynesville City Corporation had partnered with medical facilities in the city of Paynesville to provide free preventive care and medical screening.
According to Madam Gibson, the areas of focus are diabetes screening, high blood pressure testing, child vaccinations, malaria testing, stress management awareness, substance abuse, prevention and mediation, herbal medicine, dental care, mental health, and family planning.
“Our partners include: Family Health Center, John F. Kennedy Medical Center, Liberian National Red Cross, Smiles for Liberia, Liberian Cancer Society INC., One Source Pharmacy, Benson Hospital, Handicap, International, Family Diagnostic Clinic, and many health care providers carried on the good work last week Saturday at the Paynesville City Hall, “Madam Gibson further stated.
Madam Gibson told a team of Journalists that the treatments were done in many categories: Family Health Center provided testing or screening for diabetes, high blood pressure and malaria. Smiles for Liberia provided teeth cleaning or topical fluoride applications and toothbrushes (ages 2-14), and emergency extraction. Fredai Medical and Eye Clinic provided eye care testing and stress management awareness. The Chinese Medical Team carried on malaria screening and substance abuse, specialists includes: Internists, orthopedic, OB-GYN, Acupuncture and Ophthalmologist. Liberian Cancer Society INC. carried on cancer awareness and Dr. Saydah Williamson Taylor carried on mental illness awareness, while Liberia National Red Cross carried on CPR, First Aid and Ebola.
“I hope the health fair will provide early detection of complications and increase health awareness to all residents in the City of Paynesville, and we will strive to provide inexpensive medical care through our partners, “Madam Gibson concluded.
Meanwhile some citizens who have benefited from the medical treatment program, have lauded Madam Gibson for her love and commitment shown to them and prayed that she continues with her good gesture in the country.
