Pres. Sirleaf Makes New Appointment…As Fmr. UL Veep Becomes Foreign Service General
President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf has made a number of appointments at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Liberia Telecommunications Authority, the Board of the Liberia Electricity Corporation, Lofa Community College, and the Bong Community College, pending confirmation by the Honorable Liberian Senate, where applicable.
At the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Wede Brownell has been nominated Inspector General of the Foreign Service; Liberia Telecommunications Authority, Mrs. Maria G. Harrison, Commissioner while at Liberia Electricity Corporation Board, Mr. Nathaniel Kevin was nominated Member of the Board.
At the Lofa County Community College, Dr. Frederick S. Gbegbe has been named Chairman of the Board, Dr. T. Edward Liberty, Vice Chairman, Dr. James N. Kollie, President, Attorney Lavela B. Kortimai, Member, Attorney Alhaji G. V. Kromah, member, Mr. Mulbah Jackollie, Member while Mr. Saah Charles N’tow was also named Member.
Senator, Sumo G. Kupee was also named Member; Rep. Mariam Fofana, Member, Mr. George S. Dunor, Member; Minister Etmonia Tarpeh, Ex-Officio; Dr. Michael Slawon, Member; Chief Forkpah Boakai, Member and Mr. Albert Collee, Member.
Meanwhile, at the Bong Community College, Dr. John S. Flomo, Jr. has been nominated President of the college.
