The Management of Grass Field Sand Mining Corporation in Momboe Town East on Bushrod Island has stated that Dr. C. Nelson Oniyama is in no way or form the owner of said Corporation.
The Management’s clarification came in the wake of massive speculations in many quarters which had linked Dr. Oniyama in such capacity.
The Corporation narrated that when Dr. Oniyama’s Corporation, Oragon, was given a Prospecting License by the Ministry of Lands, Mines & Energy for the mining of river sand, it proceeded to constructing several vessels for that purpose.
However, when the Class C Mining License was later denied by the said Ministry, the two Corporations decided to collaborate whereby the vessels and other equipment of Oragon were given to Grass Field Sand Mining Corporation in exchange for some shares of stock in Grass Field.
“Apart from that arrangement, Dr. Oniyama has no link to Grass Field. The President of Grass Field is Counsellor John Wleh Togba, II.,” the Grass Field Management stated.
The Management stated further that the Media and relevant stakeholders, many of whom continue to spread falsehood against their Corporation, to desist and that the public should not give credence to the Press release of May 1, 2014, that Grass Field Sand Mining Corporation has closed down its operations along the Stockton Creek. That decision was reached at a management meeting held within the entity’s operation site along the St. Paul River, hence the Grass Field Management is still appealing to propagandists against them who might have allegedly received handouts to desist or else, such persons risk a possibility of litigation in a competent court of jurisdiction.
