The Liberia Broadcasting System (LBS) has started expending money generated during its “Dollar Campaign” to assist the LBS in capacity building.
This was demonstrated recently when some equipment were turned over to the LBS Management at the LBS compound in Paynesville. The LBS Dollar Campaign Chairman, Patrick Honnah, said that funds generated from Liberians during the campaign have assisted the LBS a lot.
He added that Liberians have indeed shown so much love and concern for the station at a time when the station is faced with financial constraints.
He also said that the products were made available through the contributions made by Liberians’ own money from their pockets.
He concluded that the equipment bought would be used carefully for the improvement of the Corporation. Mr. Honnah then lauded President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf and Vice President Joseph Boakai for their concern and time with the LBS family its success.
He also lauded all Liberians for their humanitarian gesture to the Corporation.
