The Ad/Hoc Elections Commission of the National Customs Brokers Association of Liberia (NABAL) has released the list of t individuals who have been duly qualified to enter the race for various positions come March 29, 2014.
The commission’s Chairman, Hon. Adonis Kamara hinted journalists over the weekend that the candidates were thoroughly screened and found to have met all requirements provided by the Association’s constitution, which also states that officials of NABAL are to serve for two each calendar year. The present officials of the association went to the polls in 2012, an official hinted on Monday.
Those qualified to run are: Messrs Gbelly V. Barmor for President Ivan Tumbay, for President; Justin F.G. Tembeh, Sr. for Vice President; Deznecious Jaleiba for Secretary General and Madai Satta R. Hall for National Registrar.
Others include, Morris Kaitamba for Financial Secretary; Benedict K. Jallah for Financial Secretary; Madam Raiphella S. Barzee for Treasurer; Mac K De for Chaplain and Rev. Fr. Alphonso Weah for Chaplain, the Ad/Hoc Commission Chairman said out of the new listing, about three officials have so far decided to retain themselves.
At the same time, NABAL officials are this week holding a national convention to discuss the newly redraft constitution and By-Laws which relates to the smooth running of the organization and will be adopted during the convention.
The 6th National Convention of NCBAL will be held under the theme: “Restoring Hope to Build the New Liberia” on Friday, 2 March, 2014 at the YMCA Gymnasium, on Crown Hill, Broad Street.
