Changes At Public Works, Others…Newly Established Revenue Authority Gets Officials
President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf has appointed the following officials to positions in government, at the Ministry of Public Works and the Liberia Revenue Authority (LRA) pending confirmation by the Honorable Liberian Senate, where applicable. At Public Works, President Sirleaf has removed Christian Hebert who once served as Deputy Minister for Rural Development and Community Services and appointed Mr. Jackson J. Paye.
Mr. Claude Langley has been appointed Deputy Minister for Technical Services replacing Victor Smith while Mr. Andrew Kieh has been replaced by Ms. Lauretta E. Reffell as Assistant Minister for Administration and Mr. N. Pawon Boayue-Assistant Minister for Operations replacing Mr. William Slour.
President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf has also constituted the administration of the Liberia Revenue Authority (LRA).
Those named to head the Liberia Revenue Authority (LRA) are Mrs. Elfreda Stewart Tamba, Commissioner General; Mrs. Dekontee King Sackie, Deputy Commissioner General for Operations and Technical Services at the LRA.
The President has also constituted the Board of Directors of the LRA. Those named to the LRA Board are Cllr. Robert C. Tubman, Chairman of the Board of Directors; Mr. Charles R. Bright, Member; Mrs. Aletha Brown Cooper, Member; Minister of Finance , Statutory Member;
Minister of Justice, Statutory Member; Minister of Commerce & Industry, Statutory Member; Commissioner General of the LRA, Statutory Member.
The President has also named some individuals to the Judiciary. They are Attorney Karsor K. Zubah, Traffic Judge, Bensonville Traffic Court, Montserrado County; Colonel Sinyeneltu Gea-Weah, Traffic Judge, River Gee Traffic Court; Montserrado County Attorney Benjamin B. W. Jlah, Debt Judge, River Gee Debt Court, River Gee County and Attorney Quincy A. Q. Garnett, Associate Magistrate, Clay Ashland Magisterial Court, Montserrado County.
Others are Attorney John Lafayette Griggs, Associate Magistrate, Arthington Magisterial Court, Montserrdo County; Attorney Lionel B. Clarke, Associate Magistrate, Arthington Magisterial Court, Montserrado County; Attorney Daniel P. Charles, Associate Magistrate, Gardnersville Magisterial Court, Montserrado County; Attorney Eric N. Cooper, Associate Magistrate, Paynesville Magisterial Court, Montserrado County and Mr. Enoch S. Garlawolu, Notary Public, Commercial Court, Montserrado County.
