The first feast of fallen businessman who had resided in the country for decades and is an ardent lover of sports, Mr. Samba Diallo, is expected to take place today in Monrovia.
According to family sources, the feast which is being held in keeping with Islamic faith will be held at the Malian consulate on Benson Street, near the Benson Street Mosque.
Meanwhile, several persons, including representatives of the LFA are expected to grace the occasion, which starts at 2 p.m.
Mr. Samba Diallo died on Wednesday, March 12, 2014 and was subsequently buried in accordance with Islamic tradition.
Mr. Diallo who was a member of the Liberia Football Association (LFA) and the owner of the defunct second division side Olympique Football Club promoted many soccer stars through his sponsorship.
Mr. Diallo was also the proprietor of the Olympique Jewelry Center situated on Gurley Street opposite the INQUIRER Newspaper.
According to family sources, the seven-day feast for the late Samba Diallo is expected at his Gurley Street Residence on Wednesday, March 19, 2014.
Mr. Samba Diallo, a naturalized Liberian was a staunch member of the ruling Unity Party and was seen active during Liberia’s two post war elections.
