By Edwin G. Wandah A Liberian owned Construction Company, TUMARSI INC. constructing a modern office building for the Ministry of Planning, has been lauded by Finance Minister, Amara Konneh for the level of work it is doing to complete the project.
TUMARSI INC was hired by the Ministry of Planning in May 2013 to construct a modern State of the Art Building that will house the Ministry of Planning of the Republic of Liberia.
The Project is one of European Union’s sponsored projects, funded by the European Union for the Ministry of Planning of the Republic of Liberia.
Meanwhile, when Finance Minister Amara Konneh visited the site of the Building Project on Friday of last week, he observed that the first face of the project was gradually nearing completion, with the basement and other parts of the building being already completed.
Taking a tour of the facility, Finance Minister Amara Konneh expressed satisfaction over the level of work that has being carried out so far. Minister Konneh thanked TUMASI INC for speedily carrying on the necessary construction work on the building.
Minister Konneh stated further that, TUMARSI INC has proven to be one of the best in Liberia, by the quality of work it does, especially, with the current work being carried out so far on the Ministry of Planning. He also used the occasion to thank the European Union for sponsoring the project of the Planning Ministry.
Meanwhile, when contacted, the CEO of TUMARSI INC Mrs. Kimberlyn Turay said her company finds it expedient to work with the Liberian People, especially as a Liberian owned Construction Company working in Liberia.
“We are delighted to partner with the Planning Ministry, especially, in the areas of infrastructure building. This is our country, so, it is very rewarding to see ourselves in partnership with the Government of Liberia through the Ministry of Planning,” Mrs. Turay stated.
Since May of 2013, TUMARSI INC has employed closed to hundred persons who are currently been provided the opportunity of having a new job, as a means of contributing to the Government’s Poverty Reduction Strategy, the PRS. This program was held in February of this year(2014).
