A Liberian Journalist, Mr. Jerome Toe, Publisher of the New Nation Newspaper has died in Monrovia following a period of brief illness.
Mr. Toe who once worked for the Liberia Broadcasting System (LBS) as an announcer, hailed from Grand Kru County. He was a student at the University of Liberia.
According to family sources, Mr. Toe took sick after watching a Real Madrid match last Sunday night. He was subsequently rushed to the St. Joseph Catholic Hospital where he was pronounced dead upon arrival.
Prior to leaving the LBS, the late Jerome Toe operated a private Security firm before launching the New Nation Newspaper. He is survived by his wife, his mother, several children and a host of other relatives and friends.
