A reporter of the Inquirer Newspaper, Charles B. Yates, has been awarded a diploma in global communication, IT &Networking from the National Institute of Information Technology (NIIT), one of India’s outstanding institutions of learning.

Journalist Yates, completed 60 lectures of the training titled Diploma in Global Communication in English, IT & Networking from November 8-2013 to Jan 31-2014 in New Delhi, India.

The program was sponsored by the Indian government through the Ministry of External Affairs. According to a dispatch from India, the training also covered building and report writing, neutralization of mother tongue influence, business correspondence and IT Skills.

The Liberian journalist has meanwhile commended the government of India for granting him the opportunity through the Indian Consul General in Liberia, Jeety. Another Liberian from the Ministry of Postal Affairs, JAMES Solunteh, also received diploma in advanced networking.
