December 25, 2013 was a joyous day for many Liberian children as they celebrated Christmas with joy and happiness.
The Managing Director of the National Port Authority (NPA), Madam Matilda Parker, yesterday hosted a colorful Christmas party for hundreds of Liberian children thus giving true meaning to what Christmas really is.
Madam Parker, speaking at the celebration called on Liberian children to respect their parents, prioritize their education and always say thank you to anyone who does good to them. “You must always say thank you for anything in life, go to school and help your parents in doing works,” Madam Parker told the hundreds of children who turned out for the Christmas party held at the Well Hairston High School on Mechlin Street.
Madam Parker admonished Liberians to learn to give to others during this festive season as doing so will be fulfilling the true meaning of Christmas.
The children lauded Madam Parker for her generosity. Recently, the NPA boss was honored by several media institutions in the country as Managing Director of the Year for her achievements at the NPA in 2013; Morrison O.G. Sayon writes.
