The National Oil Company of Liberia (NOCAL) has demonstrated its commitment to providing food stuffs to several institutions in Monrovia and its environs for the Christmas Season.
Speaking at the School of the Blind in Brewerville City on Sunday, the Assistant Director for Public Affairs, National Oil Company of Liberia (NOCAL), Madam Fatu Gbedeme disclosed that NOCAL is delighted to be part of the holiday program with the school and other institutions.
Madam Gbedeme explained that the program was intended to reach out to communities and spread NOCAL’s love and care for citizens.
Meanwhile, the General Counsel or Chief Operation Officer, National Company of Liberia (NOCAL) Cllr. Althea E. Sherman said NOCAL is a public agency and ready to reach out to communities and render support to institutions. Cllr. Sherman said NOCAL will continue its commitment to seeking the welfare of the Liberian people.
The Principal of the Liberia School of the Blind, Mr. Jackson Suah expressed gratitude to NOCAL for its kind gesture at this time of the year.
Suah disclosed that the Liberia School of the Blind was established to give training, vision for people with disabilities but the school is faced with serious challenges and according to him, since the inception of the school, there have been some difficulties, but that by next week the administration will start renovation by the Ministry of Education.
“When I took over as Principal, I was saddened to see people begging in the streets because there is no support, so I am appealing to NOCAL to help these young people get quality education,” Mr. Suah averred.
Meanwhile, Mr.Suah has also appealed to the National Company of Liberia, to help the school with a generator to enable the administration operate at night.
NOCAL donated food stuffs to the followings Institutions: Redemption Hospital, in New Kru Town, Liberia School of the Blind in Brewerville, E.S. Grant Hospital in Duport Road, T B Annex in Congo Town, for the Christmas Season.
Meanwhile (NOCAL) will continue the distribution of food stuffs today in Monrovia and its environs.
The Medical Assistant at the TB Annex Hospital in Congo Town, Dr.Joseph Dwana has lauded the National Oil Company of Liberia for the wonderful donation made at the TB Annex Hospital.
Dr.Dwana disclosed that he was pleased to receive the donation from NOCAL and that it will be used for the intended purpose.
