China Union Breaks Ground For Road Project In Haindii

China Union which is one of the largest concession companies working in Liberia has broken grounds for a modern highway that will connect Bong Mines to Haindii in Bong County.

According to the Project Manager of Bong Mines- Haindii Road, JIANG LAIYUN, the project is one of the Chinese Government’s developmental initiatives.

JIANG LAIYUN said China amongst other things prioritized several developmental needs for the Government and people of Liberia to showcase its own side of the mutual and bilateral relationship that was established between the two nations since the two nation’s re-established diplomatic relations.

Reading through an interpreter, JIANG LAIYUN said, China has seen the grave needs of Liberia, and so, the new project the Bong Mines- Haindii Road Project will serve as one of the projects that will boost the morale of his Government and strengthen the cordial friendship the two nations have enjoyed over the years.

According to him, the road will be completely paved which will be guaranteed for both pedestrians and commercial vehicles, especially, other commuters and business people.

For her part, Fuamah District Representative, Korpu Barclay, has assured citizens of Fuamah District of more developments in the future. According Representative Barclay, the people of Fuamah have suffered for a very long time to be left behind without any modern road construction in sight which is undeniably important.

The Fuamah District Representative lauded the Government and President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf for fulfilling some of her developmental agenda.

Representative Korpu Barclay also thanked the Chiefs and elders, especially, the people of Fuamah District for their support in allowing her represent them in the House of Representatives.

Two officials of Fuamah District, Commissioner Armstrong B. Giddings and Paramount Chief Joseph Tartee also lauded the Representative of Fuamah District for the level of development she has done and continues to do.

According to Commissioner Giddings, Representative Barclay has done her best since her ascendency to the District’s higher seat. For his part, Paramount Tartee prayed God’s blessings upon Representative Korpu Barclay and hope she continues to serve the District as they move towards better days.

Meanwhile, an official in the Office of President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf, Edwin Sarvice has thanked the people of Fuamah District for embracing development in the District and that the people of Fuamah will benefit from more developments in the future if they continue to hold together in one mind and push their agenda for development.

Meanwhile, the youths and elders of the District were seen at the program showing their gratitude for China Union’s relentless effort in bringing development to them through road constructions. They then called on China Union to extend more developments to the District and pleaded further for China Union to build a bridge over the St. John River to allow them access roads across the river to farm and do business.
