“As an oracle of God, it is my prayer always to God for righteousness and peace to prevail in our nation Liberia. Proverb 14:34 “Righteousness exalt a nation, but sin is a reproach to the people,” Rev. Karbah disclosed.
“This political virus has caused some political giants to become “Lazy Politicians” in their finding. They market lies instead of speaking the truth to enable our people see the futuristic plans of Liberia. The motive of bad politics is for one own selfish gain and “pay back evil” against enemies who hurt him or her in the past. The true motive that can keep politics pure is the motive of doing well for one country and its people. If the virus is not treated now, it is going to be worse and cause embarrassment for the next generation,” the Reverend continued.
“I listened to the speech of ex-President of Liberia, Joseph J. Roberts. He said Liberia shall be called “Paradise”. This was a prophecy as he opened his eagle eyes to see the glorious Land. Because of bad politics and evil ambition the prophetic saying has been concealed from not coming to pass,” he said.
“Liberians, I want you to understand this and keep it in your mind” No nation is rich enough to pay for both war and civilization. We must make our choice; we cannot have both. Many politicians have caused “Mama Liberia pain and she is still behind because of bad politics. When Mr. X is not in power he causes pandemonium and even explains about Mr. Y’s personal life which he cannot defend,” Rev. Karbah intimated.
“In Political Science it is called ‘Fishing Expedition’ True politics criticize for positive change for the nation. We can only help our nation by reading history and seeing the positives and negatives of past generation. If you don’t know history, then you don’t know anything; you are a leaf that doesn’t know you are part of a tree,” the Rev. stated.
“One does not need a law degree or a degree in history to grasp this truth. The simplicity of politics has been changed to bad politics: The nation has to go back to the God of the Bible. The Republic cannot stand without the Bible. Society is doomed when opinions are more respected than truth. I believe that the existence of the Bible is the greatest benefit to the nation and any attempt to belittle it I believe is a crime against humanity,” the Rev. stressed.
“Do you know that it was the same bad politics that caused the early settlers to oppress the indigenous of this land? It was the same bad politics that killed 13 wise men on the pole. It was the same bad politics that looks for a common thief and forgets about the one who sits in the office and embezzle money to buy a house in another country and suffer the common citizens,” the Rev. averred.
“Bad politics calls for violence, and youths die without achieving anything. NOT TO BE ASHAMED OF SIN IS TO SIN DOUBLE,” he reminded.
“Our children may learn about heroes of the past; our task is to make ourselves the architects of the future. Big chair doesn’t mean sound leadership. It is a passion, love and discipline. Get rid of ‘Bad Politics’ and have good reason for future development,” the Rev. cautioned.
“You are not to be blind to patriotism that you can’t face reality. Wrong is wrong, no matter who does it or says it. We want to tell God Thank you for the little peace we have now,” Rev. Karbah concluded.
