Police Quizzes CDC’s Jefferson Koijee

Youth Chair of the Congress for Democratic Change (CDC) Mr. Jefferson Korjee, who was in hiding few days ago, yesterday appeared before the authorities of the Liberia National Police at the Headquarters in Monrovia for questioning in lieu of his statement made recently against some personalities planning to assassinate President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf.
Mr. Jefferson Korjee was expected to appear before the Liberia National Police yesterday morning at 11:00 a.m. at the LNP Headquarters but did not show up at the Headquarters as was stipulated by the Liberia National Police; instead he appeared at the LNP Headquarters at 1:30 p.m.
When the Police asked Mr. Korjee about his statement made recently accusing some individuals of planning to exterminate President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf, he (Korjee) refused to speak to journalists but rather worked away in front of the press in an agitated mood.
Some police officers even prevented journalists from entering the office of Mr. Abraham Kromah, Deputy Police Director for Operation during the questioning of Mr. Korjee yesterday at the LNP Headquarters in Monrovia.
Police spokesman, Sam Collins, said Mr. Jefferson Korjee was invited by the Liberia National Police for questioning in view of his statement made recently in Monrovia accusing some people of planning to slay the President. Investigation continues.
