The president of the ABC University, in Yekepa, Nimba County, Dr. Amos B. Miamen says plans are underway to construct additional dormitory for the institution valued at US$ 125,000.
Dr. Miamen told The INQUIRER that the construction of theDormitory is a self-help project, designed to accommodate additional students’ influx into the school and to also address the overcrowdedness.
The ABC president explained that the construction of the dormitory is based on numerous appeals from the citizens who have expressed their desires to enroll at the University. They also appealed to the administration to increase the courses.
Presently, the ABC University, which has a property of 30 acres of land in the county, also has an enrollment of 150 students, and is offering Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication, Entrepreneur, Business Management and Theology.
It is expected that Nursing and Agriculture would be added to the curriculum pending on an agreement from the School Board.
Dr. Miamen also commended the Government of Liberia as well as the people of Nimba County for their support to the University.
