NPP Removes National Chairman

By Jefferson D. Tweh

The National Executive Committee (NEC) of the National Patriotic Party (NPP) has removed its National Chairman Cllr. Theophilus C. Gould for his failure or refusal to convene regular National Executive Committee (NEC) meetings and also failed to conduct bi-annual convention of the party.

Chairman of the Standing Committee on Press, Information and Propaganda, Mr. Gus Knowlden said Cllr. Gould does not have interest in the political well being of the National Patriotic Party and relegating the party to a political ambivalent institution wallowed in a conspiracy of silence on crucial national issues.

According to Mr. Knowlden, in an obvious attempt to perpetuate himself at the helm of the National Patriotic Party, Cllr. Gould has refused to seek the interest of the Party.

“National Executive Committee (NEC) acknowledged and received the briefing from the meeting held at the National Elections Commission (NEC) regarding the complaint raised by members of the NPP Legislative caucus,” Mr. Knowlden intimated.

Meanwhile, the National Executive Committee has called on partisans and supporters and well-wishers of the National Patriotic Party to remain resilient.
