LP Gears Up For 2017 Elections

The time may seem too far but the Liberty Party (LP) says it is leaving no stone unturned to ensure that it defeats its oppositions in the 2017 Presidential and General Elections.
As a means of preparation, the National Chairman of LP, Cllr. J. Fonati Koffa, at the head of a high power delegation, visited six counties in the southeastern part of the country to meet with the partisans and to design measures by which the party can become victorious in the next elections.
In the process of their tour the Chairman returned to the city with numerous strategies which he believes would ensure proper victory for the Liberty Party. Chairman Koffa on Monday explained that he and his team visited Grand Kru, Nimba, Grand Gedeh, River Gee, Bong, and Margibi Counties and that the tour was successful and full of hope.
According to Cllr. Koffa, the tour was based on a mandate he received two years ago that he and his team should design a system and come out with recommendations by which they could improve the party and overcome the challenges. He said he was also mandated to strategize means by which the party could maintain and sustain the Party’s structure.
The party’s national Chairman explained that the tour to the southeastern part of the country was the beginning of rebuilding the party. Though he promises to submit a full report later, Cllr. Koffa explained that during the tour, the delegation received rousing welcome from the partisans and others who have expressed their desire to be a part of the party.
Cllr. Koffa stated that the partisans expressed disappointment that they were forgotten by their leaders following their defeat in the 2011 Elections; he however assured them that the time has come to forge ahead.
During his visist, Cllr. Koffa said, poverty is still on the increase in the rural areas and that livelihood of the youths was disgusting. He challenged the Unity Party-led Government to provide opportunities in the rural areas that will better improve the lives of those residing there.
Cllr. Koffa boasted that the Liberty Party is opening its doors to all of its members and others who want to be a part to concentrate and brainstorm on measures to expand the party throughout the country. He said the party will bring out more robust leadership that will lead the country to its destiny.
