There has been another breakdown of the sewer system again on Gurley Street, one of the busiest streets in central Monrovia.
It is believed that of the septic tanks between Benson and Gurley Streets has broken down thus polluting the entire street. Gurley Street hosts several business entities including The INQUIRER Newspaper, ‘World Trade Center’ among others.
The intercession of Gurley and Benson Streets is now being called “Hold Your Nose and Pass” as water from the septic tanks has polluted the streets. The situation on Gurley Street may cause serious health hazard if the Government of Liberia through the Liberia Water and Sewer Corporation fails to arrest this prevailing situation.
